The acting singer:

a workshop with Annemarie de Bruijn

Answering questions like who am I, what am I doing, where am I doing it, why am I doing it…is the very first step a young actor makes in his training. It is not so with singers whose first steps involve mastering correct techniques in producing a desirable sound; learning how to answer these questions serves a crucial role in aiding singers in their performance on stage.

Perception of text, text handling, teamwork, relationship with the audience, physical play, evoking an emotion and learning to control it are central to the workshop series “The Acting Singer”. Using game techniques and improvisation assignments this workshop will teach you the basic but vital techniques to be able to successfully and convincingly stand as a performer on stage.
